As of August 2010, the drug war had violently killed around 35,000 people throughout Mexico. But the war was not over in August 2010. Mexican citizens continue to suffer the insecurity and violence that this war brings with it, day after day.
It is not only the mafia that suffers. A video taken from a kindergarden has been circulating the internet since last week.
This video shows first the news of 5 people killed and then a video taken by a kinder garden teacher instructing the kids to keep their heads on the ground while the shutting was taking place outside.
Honestly, the video broke my heart as I watched it. I think no country or kid deserves what is happening in Mexico.
As mexican, I feel powerless against the situation, and my only hope is that these kids grow up to take better choices.
